1995 Skillogalee Shiraz

This wine displays many of the monumental characteristics of the 1995 Sevenhill Shiraz, and reflects the dry conditions of the 1995 Clare vintage. Low yielding with loads of concentrated flavours. Opaque mauve purple colour. Intense blackberry, pepper nose with spicy plum and vanilla overtones. The palate displays concentrated inky peppery flavours with flavours of freshly crushed blackberries. The tannins are firmish at the moment but in balance with the long inky peppery aftertaste. A very youthful red - find a cool dark corner in the cellar and return in ten years time.
