1995 Signatory Vintage Tomintoul 30 Year Old Symington's Choice Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A cracking value sherry matured malt from a relatively obscure distillery known for a softer style distillate and promoting itself as “The Gentle Dram". Some tasters at whiskybase who were lucky enough to try this against the classic Glenrothes 30YO (in the same shipment) found this to be their preference, especially after about 30-40 minutes in the glass. "Elegance" is the recurring descriptor. Unfortunately, we couldn't secure enough to satisfy more than a handful of customers. Three decades in a first-fill Oloroso Sherry butt yielded 565 bottles at natural strength. 50.7% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
