Thirty years in a first-fill oloroso hogshead promises deep sherry richness with layers of dried fruits and dark chocolate complementing Linkwood's fruity spirit. Very impressed and recommended if the price does not scare you...Nose: Slightly reserved in the opening, but stick your nose in a little more and after some time the beautiful aromas start coming through. Of course, being 30 years old the longer the time in he glass the better. Fruit cake, sweet. The few drops of water opened the nose even more. Taste: Spicy, sweet, figs, dried plums, forest fruit jam. No alcohol burn, the 50.9% are well integrated. Finish: Medium to long finish. Sweet spices, wood, dried fruits, a bit waxy.
