A delightful Merlot - made in the Bordeaux tradition, with secondary flavours dominating. Crimson colour. Medium weight, with ripe plum, spice and mulberry nose, and a hint of violets. The middle palate is just a touch earthy with the mulberry fruit flavours being more restrained than the nose would suggest. The palate is a little leaner than its Australian counterparts with some confectionary flavours on the back palate. Fine firm tannin structure with long aftertaste. Cellar 3 - 5 years.
