Tasting note: A malt that makes up the Whyte & McKay blend. This one is matured in a Bourbon cask. Pale straw. Mildly prickly, beeswaxy and bread-like in the opening pass; develops with stewed apple and cinnamon. 2-3 minutes air contact reveals straw and grassy freshness. Pure and oily with understated ABV; crusty, doughy, edging towards dried straw towards the finish with sponge cake and vanilla. Unusual and engaging. 51.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 291 bottles.
