1995 Douglas Laing & Co. Old Particular Single Cask Glen Grant 21 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The Old Particular bottlings have sold at a steady pace since we introduced them to the Australian market in late 2016. It's no wonder, given the credentials of many. Take this Glen Grant as an example - single cask, all-natural (non chill filtered and colouring free) and over twenty years in barrel for $200 (direct import). According to the Laings, the nose is crisp and fresh, with green apples and pineapple.

Tasting note: Distilled June 1995 and bottled September 2016. Superb purity – notes of apple-cinnamon yoghurt, pineapple husk, pear tart and vanilla. Wavers on and off between whiffs of vapoury spirit and citrus oils. Lean and fresh on entry, filling out with expansive flavours of sponge cake, apple tart and cinnamon warmth with an oily, fruity, vanilla laced finish. A robust and highly textural Glen Grant. 51.5% Alc./Vol. 206 bottles. Very limited stocks.
