Medium weight, brick red colour. The nose is astonishing - a wonderful array of fresh ripe strawberries, strawberry jam, super ripe cherries, spice and sweet beetroot with a hint of California poppy. Sheer sniffing pleasure. The aromas of the nose make a delightful transition on to the palate, but are a little overcome by some fairly firm tannins, and relatively high acidity - not to despair - time will fix all that. Very long aftertaste. A vineyard to watch! Cellar 5 years.
