1995 Craigellachie Exceptional Cask Series 23 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Although reviews are scant, the follow up release (a 24 year old) received a 93 point rating from whiskyadvocate.com, so expect something similar from this small batch Craigellachie. Distilled in 1995 and reportedly matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks, it's described as studded with dried fruits and pineapple chunks, wrapped up in creamy vanillas. 5400 bottles were released for travel retail as part of the Exceptional Cask Series. Malts that make the grade consist of rare single cask and double cask bottlings, each hand-selected by esteemed Malt Master, Stephanie Macleod. Once gone, these bottlings will not be replenished, providing consumers with a once-off sipping experience.
