A single cask that exemplifies the rewards of long maturation, delivering a beautiful, gentle old whisky, still with some tang and bite, but ultimately defined by superb fruity-floral notes that recall Hors d'age cognac (think violets, citrus blossom, dried rose petals, figs). Feminine and very debonair, the palate seamlessly transitions into a peacock's tail of flavours, with fruit-tingles, citrus zest and spices softly buzzing around the tongue and persisting at length. A leather armchair malt to share with someone special. No water required. 121 bottles were drawn from a Bourbon hogshead at 51.8% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Ripe red cherry, whipped cream and luxurious strawberry cake. Palate: Velvety berry pavlova, toasted chestnut and Madagascan vanilla bean. Finish: Smooth chestnut and soft fruit linger with gentle meringue sweetness.
