1994 Tyrrell's Vat 1 Aged Release Semillon

This is a Classic Hunter Valley Semillon. Picked at a very lean stage of sugar development with an alcohol level of 10.8%. The wine has undergone some bottle age prior to release and to date has been awarded 2 gold and 5 silver medals.Bright deep straw colour, showing bottle development. The nose is classic aged Semillon with its characteristic toasted honey aroma, over some grassy background notes. The palate is relatively delicate with toasted honey flavours only beginning to blossom. The acid levels have dropped off, however, they should hold up for a further 5 years or so.
