1994 Tarrawarra Chardonnay

Tarrawarra produce only two wines - A Pinot Noir and a Chardonnay, and they're amongst the country's best. Bright deep straw colour with lemon gold tinges. The nose displays considerable complexity with nutty biscuit and barrel ferment characters. The palate displays both persistence and low yielding concentrated fruit flavours. Grapefruit, cashews, subtle yet complex oak flavours and bitter almond flavours on the back palate - crisp acidity and perfect balance. A magnificent example of Yarra Valley Chardonnay and great persistence of flavour. Cellar 5 years.
