1994 Lindemans St. George Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

Fruit for this wine is sourced from the 12 hectare St. George Vineyard which was replanted in 1969 with specially selected Cabernet Sauvignon cuttings taken from the oldest and best clones of Cabernet in the Coonawarra district.The wine was matured in new French oak hogsheads and barriques for 25 months. Dense, youthful mulberry red colour. The nose is attractive with ripe Coonawarra cassis fruit and integrated, cedary, vanillin oak aromas. This is a very restrained wine - it is very tight with a fine tannin structure and concentrated blackcurrant flavours. Excellent length and persistence. 13.5% Alcohol Volume.
