We've nicknamed this wine 'stumpy'. Its big, round, verycheerful with its 14.5% alcohol but is a little short on thepalate. Deep crimson mauve colour. The nose displays rich ripespiced blackberry with a peppery background. The palate hasweight - no worries in that department - full bodied ripe plumsand spiced blackberries with a touch of vanillin oak. Plenty offlavour but little persistence. The tannins are firm and supportthe fruit well. A big winter red. Cellar 5 years.\Z
