A wine of remarkable ripeness - a generous 14.5% Alc/Vol. Deep brick red colour. Ripe chocolate tobacco nose with cedar spice and earthy leathery overtones. The palate flavours stop short of being porty, but show ripe fruit, loads of liquorice, smoky oak and some tarry flavours emerging. The tannin structure is firm - with strong liquorice tarry cedar aftertaste. A solid wine, of very individual character. Cellar 3 - 5 years max.
