1993 Adelphi Glen Garioch 22 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The latest installment from the acclaimed independent bottler, Adelphi, has just arrived in Australia. This year, the allocations are smaller than ever with some expressions limited to just one bottle.

Most Scotch Whisky distilleries have chequered pasts to say the least, but Glen Garioch (pronounced Glen 'geery') must rank as one of the most colourful. The distillery is located just outside the center of Meldrum, Aberdeenshire, in Scotland's far east Highlands. The distillery takes its name from the Garioch Valley, which provides shelter ideal for agriculture, and in particular the production of high quality barley.

Presently, Glen Garioch is producing very lightly peated malt of various ages. This is one of only 285 bottles drawn from a 1st fill Spanish oak ex-Sherry butt. 58.6% Alc./Vol.
