Tasting Notes sourced from Moet & Chandon

A blend of 38% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Meunier and 52% Pinot Noir (part of which has been vinified as red wine). Salmon pink colour with slightly coppery highlights. The dominant aromas on the nose are of ripe red fruit, strawberry and blackcurrant. These are rounded off by suggestions of toast, apples and pears. The palate is solid, full-bodied and supple. The finish is rather firm, clean and distinct. The Brut Rose Vintage 1992 makes a marvellous accompaniment to shellfish such as lobster or crab, and to pink and red fleshed fish. Excellent also with lamb, chicken or game, such as roast pigeon.
