1992 Bollinger V.V.F. Blanc de Noir Champagne

Within the crus of Ay and Bouzy, the House of Bollinger owns three vineyard plots, adding up to just one and a quarter acres that have miraculously resisted phylloxera. The non-grafted vines, freely planted en foule, are worked entirely by hand as in former days. The wine that is made from these grapes is called Vieilles Vignes Francaises (V.V.F.) and is 100% Pinot Noir made in old oak casks. This unique champagne, produced in minute quantities, could be described as a living museum of former traditions in Champagne.
