1990 Gordon & Macphail Connoisseurs Choice Balblair 29 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Gordon & Macphail have been one of the leading exponents of well-aged Balblairs which have otherwise been hard to find. (The distillery only recently launched a 25 year old, which is as old as official bottlings get). This one's matured in a single first-fill Sherry butt, as indicated by G&M's tasting notes: "...cinnamon, stewed plums, toasted malt, fruit cake and dried ginger". Beautiful colour to what looks like a bombshell follow up to their 24 year old released in 2018. Comes presented in a solid oak presentation box and at cask strength 58.4% Alc./Vol. 469 bottles produced.
