Tasting Notes sourced from Moet & Chandon

After a mild winter warm and dry weather triggered a rapid start to growth in the vineyard at the end of March. Flowering took place under difficult conditions during low temperatures and rain. The resulting coulure and millerandage were compensated for by the large number and size of the bunches. A hot summer followed and continued right through until just before harvest when heavy rains began to fall.A blend of 58% Chardonnay and 42% Pinot Noir. Pale yellow colour with shades of gold. Initial floral aromas give way to aromas of fresh almonds, dried apricots and toasted brioche. The wine is full and round without being opulent expresses great harmony. Intense flavours with a silky finish reminiscent of preserved citrus fruits.
