The sugars retreat past mid palate, rich oils and hints of curacao taking their place as three decades of oak unravel. Ends in a rush of tongue-coating oils and powdery tannins. Mere years away from its peak, or just past it is debatable, regardless, this exquisite, slow-burn and very Bourbonesque grain delivers serious body, length and texture.
