As with the 1997 wine, this wine was made from a blend of 83% Shiraz, and 17% Cabernet. The wine has had a very successful show record, being awarded to date 3 trophies with gold medals, 11 gold medals, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals. The wine was matured for 12 months in New American oak 300 litre hogsheads.Medium weight crimson colour. Superb perfumed wine- a sniffers delight, with aromas of plum, spice, blackcurrant and liquorice. The palate displays excellent depth of flavour with leather, earth, plum characters dominant. Excellent length and concentration. Fine grained tannins with very long aftertaste. Almost at its peak- enjoy!
