1987 Hunter Laing & Co. Old & Rare Bunnahabhain 30 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Any Islay whisky that's made it to three decades is bound to command a premium, but considering where the distillery's own 25-year is priced nowadays, this single sherry butt offers something out of the norm. Distilled in 1987 and matured in a sherry butt. Emptied in December 2017 with an outturn of 321 bottles, this is cask strength at 48.4% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. Comes handsomely presented in a distinctive squat bottle and lacquered timber box. 

Notes from the bottlers... This light gold whisky has a nose containing notes of oranges, caramel, and treacle sponge. The palate is sweet with honey, Highland toffee and butterscotch. The finish has a medium length, with some gentle spice.
