1986 North Star Glenrothes 36 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Glenrothes is at its very best when it comes out of cask with a massive age statement. In this case it was a refill hogshead. Given the steady rise in prices for malts of this ilk and category, North Star's price remains very reasonable. The outturn was 220 bottles. 44.1% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Nose: Rooibos tea, thick bracken, and tablet. Palate: Dry vanilla, raspberry, and Doc Brown's banana skin. Finish: Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads.
