1984 Glenrothes Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

An 'antique' Glenrothes, distilled in 1984 and bottled in 1995. Expect strong Sherry overtones. This is from a private collection. Some scuffing on the outer cylinder but the bottle is in excellent condition. One only.

Relatively unknown in Australia, the Glen Rothes has remained a guarded secret amongst malt aficionados. The distillery lies beside the burn of Rothes in the heart of Speyside, the highland area of Scotland made famous by the quality and style of its single malt whiskies.

Limited quantities of the very best casks of The Glenrothes malt whisky are individually selected from a given year's distillation when judged to be at the peak of their perfection. They are then bottled as The Glenrothes Vintage Malt. The clear glass bottle and label are inspired by the sample bottles and checking slips to be found in a distillery sample room and highlight the natural colour and quality of the whisky itself.
