A 39 Year Old Armagnac from the Bas Armagnac appellation.
Tasting note: The rich polished copper and pale gold hue looks fabulous in the glass. Scents of vinyl and varnish in the opening stages need time to resolve into more appealing aromas of light caramel and coconut along with flashes of fruit (pineapple husk?) as the nose gains definition and intensity. A light, dryish entry leads into a fruity pipe tobacco, leather and old oak profile with some late sugars at the finish. Ends quite dry, gently tannic, lean and long. 40% Alc./Vol.
