Wow! What a price for a 35 year old Maca! And according to veteran taster, Serge Valentin, quite a quirky bottling. Sounds fascinating. One only. Bottled in 2008. Some minor cellar bloom, otherwise excellent condition.
Other reviews... Nose: this is truly uber-fruity! Very heavy notes of bananas and tangerines, reminding me of some Lochsides. Very unusual for a Macallan. Also quite some apricot jam. Mouth: very fruity again, with a lot of strawberries and nutmeg. Passion fruit ice cream. Again, certainly not a classic Macallan, whether sherried or not. 43% Alc./Vol.
