$145. 00
Bottle
$1740.00 Dozen
ABV: 46%
An otherwise duty free exclusive, named after a Scottish lighthouse built in 1831 by Robert Stevenson (Grandfather of Robert Louis Stevenson, the famous author). Matured in a combination of European and American casks.

Tasting note: Bright gold with pale straw edges. Aromas of moist fruit cake and muesli bar along side citrus zest and a whiff of brine. Full bodied by Pulteney standards; fills the mouth with a delicious fusion of Sherry and American oak. Excellent sweet / dry balance. A thread of peat? Vibrant vanilla, pepper and late ginger biscuit aftertaste. "Well-rounded" is the best way to sum this up. Eminently drinkable.46% Alc./Vol.

Other reviews... moody and broody, this is heavy going with only a hint of dusty heather lighting the way; much more expansive on delivery, showing true Pulteney depth and layering... loads to chew on with this heavyweight. 46% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 90.5 points - Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2017
