Other reviews... Deep amber color. Nutty, fudge and spice nose is attractive. A round entry leads to a smooth, medium-bodied palate with vanilla and toasty oak notes. Finishes with a long, lingering, spicy fade that reveals a nice charred oak quality. Very well-balanced with a great combination of youthful vitality and mature wood-aged flavors.  International Review of Spirits Award: Gold Medal

... Big and Bruising on the nose, there is weighty oil and liquorice. It is beautifully sweet with flavours of manuka honey and then liquorice, candy and rich rye. Finishes with soft vanilla and liquorice. I just so love this bourbon. The closest in style to Jack Daniel's because of a mildly lumbering gait. Any time, any day, whiskey of the very top order. 43% Alc/Vol (86 proof) 90 points - Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible, 2006
