Highland Park 1973 Cask 11151 Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
In October 1973 at the Highland Park distillery, two oak sherry casks were filled. Twenty eight years later, the whisky from each cask has matured revealing two individual and intriguingly different whiskies. Distillery manager Russell Anderson commented on the result: "each cask is like a person, totally unique." After maturing for nearly three decades, Cask 11151 was bottled on the 22nd February 2001. Reduced to 45.4% alc./vol. through natural evaporation, this very rare whisky is strictly limited with only several bottles available in Australia and a mere 500 released worldwide.

Tasting Notes: Brilliant deep gold in colour. The nose is awash with sultana, nut meg, dark chocolate and smoke. The palate is thick and magnificently textured, a velvety smooth caress for the taste buds with marmalade, melted toffee and honey flavours emerging along with a touch of spice. Long, lingering slightly sweet finish. 45.4% alc./vol. - Notes partly souced from Oddbins
