Distilled by Bill Lark, this is another amazingly well balanced, high octane selection from Tim Duckett's aged whisky stocks. Distilled May 2001 and matured in an x Port Barrel before being bottled in August 2013. Only 115 bottles produced.

Tasting note: Cask HH0611 from BATCH 1 tasted] The deep, bright brassy gold colour appears slightly viscous in the glass. Opens with a rich, layered bouquet that’s initially brandy sauce / creme caramel becoming more plum pudding-like with exposure with hints of peppermint and old liquorice strap adding freshness. No nose prickle at all, which is surprising. Subsequent passes find fruit and nut chocolate aromas developing. A diverse sniff. Entry is creamy and plush leading into a restrained, remarkably balanced profile - tingly and bittersweet at mid palate with flashes of rubberiness, these are eclipsed by rum-like sugars towards the finish which fill out and round off the whisky nicely. Hints of ginger biscuit, vanilla and spicy plum pudding flavours play out with impressive length. Like a tight rope act that you’d expect to flounder or fail - instead this manages the extraordinary alcohol with aplomb. Another astonishing Australian whisky experience. 72.5% Alc./Vol.
