Evan Williams Bourbon Whiskey (700ml)

Kentucky, UNITED STATES
$54. 99
Bottle
$659.88 Dozen
ABV: 40%
This is the entry level for Evan Williams (Australia receives a lower ABV version than the US). Named after the man who opened Kentucky’s first distillery along the banks of the Ohio River in 1783, it’s aged a little longer than the required minimum.

Other reviews... [43% US bottling tasted] Commonly referred to as Black Label, the color is noticeably dark for a younger, less than 8 year old product like this. The nose takes it a step forward with burnt brown sugar, fruit, and cinnamon. But the palate reveals its youth with a mouthful of grains and acidity. However, it’s saved by final notes of honey, vanilla, caramel, soft oak, and coconut. A short finish disappoints, but this is a cocktail or cola contender.
