$479.88 Dozen
ABV: 37%

Sam Cougar's bourbon has been produced in Lawrenceburg, U.S.A. since 1865.
Medium amber colour. Sweet, nutty aroma and palate with a hint of liquorice on the finish. Cougar represents excellent value for money, especially for palates jaded with the few other mid-priced options in bourbon currently available.

Other reviews... Biting, rip-roaring, rabid rye offering astonishing crispness and finesse on the corn. One of the all-time great rye-rich bourbon aromas. Massive rye makes for a crisp, fruity and mouthwatering arrival. The corn eventually softens the impact and ensures sweetness. Much more well-behaved with vanilla and corn now leading the way, but the rye just continues to salivate the palate. One of the most characterful, purposeful bourbons you could imagine. This Illinois cracker is one of the best kept secrets in the bourbon world. 37% Alc/Vol. 93 points - Jim Murray’s Whiskey Bible
