Brilliant and precise new Kabinett and Spatlese German Riesling

The highly anticipated 2020 vintage in Germany delivered on the early promise of becoming another landmark year with some of the finest wines seen in recent times, especially from the Mosel. Kabinett wines managed extremely well the conditions with a great balancing act of elegance and raciness. Fruity‐styled Spätleses look as promising, while noting they will fully shine with a few more years of cellaring.

2021 vintage on the other hand has been defined as more tight and classic, with heavily reduced yields due to the extreme weather pattern of the growing season and wines marked by a high acidity content. Some of the best producers have turned these into positives with both Kabinett and Spätlese wines showing outstanding concentration and exciting brilliance.
