Vintage 2023 offered the kind of conditions that Prum excels in: a cool, steady growing season with just enough warmth through late summer and early autumn to bring flavour and ripeness into perfect alignment. The harvest, which began in mid-September and wrapped by October 11th, was the earliest ever recorded at the estate, yet the resulting wines are a model of poise and proportion. The Kabinetts are especially charming this year, glowing with lift and perfume, while the Spatlese and Auslese wines radiate a seductive, lacy elegance without excess weight. Across all levels, the interplay of fruit, slate and acidity is simply thrilling.
