2012 Billecart-Salmon Foundation Trilogy

In 1818 Nicolas Francois Billecart and Elisabeth Salmon were married and founded Maison Billecart-Salmon in Mareuil-sur-Ay, the family’s hometown. The pair joined forces with Louis Salmon, Elisabeth's brother, who oversaw all the commercial activity for the house. Nicolas Francois, who was passionate about oenology, dedicated himself to the creation of the wines. As a tribute to this trio, Billecart-Salmon have crafted three cuvees beginning with the Cuvee Nicolas Francois (first created in 1964), followed by the Cuvee Elisabeth Salmon Rosé and Cuvee Louis Salmon Blanc de Blancs.

Cuvee Nicolas Francois is a blend of the best terroirs from Montagne de Reims (Pinot Noir) and Cote des Blancs vineyards (Chardonnay), with vinification partly in traditional oak casks lending generosity to this elegant and fine Champagne.

Cuvee Louis Salmon is 100% Chardonnay from the best parcels of grand crus in the Cote des Blancs. Billecart-Salmon note they source from Cramant for the minerality, Chouilly and Oiry for the finesse, and Mesnil-sur-Oger for the structure and longevity.

Cuvee Elisabeth Salmon adds to Billecart-Salmon's enviable reputation for crafting outstanding rosé Champagne. A rare and sought-after wine in their portfolio, this cuvee is drawn from their top Pinot Noir and Chardonnay terroirs.
