The heavily peated (40ppm) Port Charlotte started as PC5 with a yearly follow-up. This year’s release has reached 10 years of age. Keen followers of Bruichladdich will also know there’s a limited yearly release at cask strength. Now, with the new owners taking control as of late 2012, it's alleged this bottling will become part of the core range, cut down to 46%, making this release, ‘Tro na linntean’, all the more collectible.

6,000 numbered bottles only. Now very difficult to procure. Sold out in the UK. Super limited. 59.8% Alc./Vol.

Head distiller, Jim McEwan comments on this release, “Extraordinary to think of the great pride we felt when bottling PC5 back in 2006. In our heart of hearts, none of us knew whether we’d still be around to celebrate PC10, this fantastic spirit’s coming of age. It’s been a long and rocky road but PC10 is here and so are we. This new Islay single malt has reached it’s first milestone.

This PC edition celebrates the next generation here at Bruichladdich. Allan Logan is the youngest distillery manager in Scotland, and has been learning his trade at Jim’s right hand for 10 years. He and the other young craftsmen coming through are the future of this distillery and we recognise them now. ‘Tro na linntean’: Through the generations.
