Bowmore The Devils Cask Batch 2 10 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

The second release of its kind from Bowmore is limited to just 6,000 bottles. Matured exclusively - and unusually for Bowmore - in the finest first fill sherry casks. Rachel Barrie, Master Blender of Morrison Bowmore Distillers, adds:

"The first edition of this expression was one of the most sought after whiskies of 2013. This second small batch release will no doubt emulate that success thanks to its devilishly tasty dark side, in debt to the first-fill sherry casks it has been carefully mellowed in."

The name derives from a local legend which has it that the devil once hid in a cask of Bowmore so as to escape from angry residents and get to the mainland. It's also said that the circular church in the village of Bowmore was so shaped to prevent the devil having any corners to hide in. 56.3% Alc./Vol.
