Bowmore Tempest Small Batch Release No.2 Cask Strength 10 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Bowmore first introduced this limited edition expression in September 2009 as a small batch release of only 2,000 cases. As the name suggests, its intention is to capture the rugged, stormy, oceanic qualities that have been associated with this weather beaten distillery (the oldest on Islay). The maturing first fill Bourbon casks were stored in vaults just inches from the battering waves of Loch Indaal.

Other reviews... .exclusively in first-fill bourbon casks. With the bourbon cask, and relatively young age, you can really feel all the Islay love. Bracing, with plenty of sea character, along with honeyed vanilla, citrus, floral notes (especially lavender), rumbling peat smoke, tobacco, and resinous oak on the finish.
