Bouvet Ladubay is regarded by many wine lovers as the finest expression of sparkling wine from the Loire Valley. After many years of ownership by Champagne Taittinger, Bouvet Ladubay is once again fully owned by the Monmousseau family who have continuously run the business since their purchase in 1932. Bouvet Ladubay employs precisely the same wine making process as Grand Marque Champagne, delivering French sophistication at an everyday price.

Delightful pale salmon pink coloured base wine with good creamy mousse and very fine and persistent bead. The nose displays attractive notes of winter strawberries and light raspberry followed by subtle lees characters and confectionary. Creamy in texture the palate boasts a delicious flavour profile of winter strawberries and delicate raspberries intermixed with some yeast lees and confectionary. Clean dry finish. Excellent length with long winter strawberry infused raspberry, lees and confectionary aftertaste. A superb sparkling rose, perfect on a long summers day.
Drink over 1-2 years.

Re-Tasted, 23rd March 2004: The superb, translucent damask pink colour, over laid by salmon pink and mauve hues makes this wine a winner right from the start. Made from Cabernet Franc, the bead of this wine is the finest and most persistent. Subtle aroma of raspberry, winter strawberry and biscuit are evident on the nose. The palate flavours are refined, with strawberry and raspberry fruit flavours again appearing. Creamy texture followed by a long raspberry, lees aftertaste. A sparkling rose of great delicacy and perfect for watching the sun go down.
