Blackadder Raw Cask Blairfindy 16 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Blackadder proprietor, Robin Tucek, is on a mission against the 'amelioration' of whisky - be it via chill filtration or the addition of caramel to add colour, he's dead against it. Tucek's Blackadder selection aims to keep your whisky experience as authentic as possible.

The label doesn't give away much here. Where's it from? We'll let purity fanatic, Robin Tucek explain: "Blairfindy is a single malt from the only family owned distillery on Speyside at Marypark, Ballindalloch. For legal reasons we can never put the actual distillery name of this whisky on the label. We use the name Blairfindy because this is the name of the farm that the owning family, the Grants, came from. They are historically referred to as the "Blairfindy Grants".

Tucek describes this as having "A nose of chocolate mousse, bananas and some pears, sweet to taste with hints of sherry. There is some slight saltiness in the tail."
