This whisky is a blend of Islay Single Malts selected and bottled by Duncan Taylor.
Tasting note: Nose: Old-fashioned sticking plasters, herrings in a barrel. Palate: Lively, brine and limes, backed by delicate peat-reek. Finish: Lengthy and increasingly salty, with cereal 'new make' notes lingering. Comment: A drinkable, if relatively undemanding whisky. Perhaps a good introduction to Islay. Rating: 83 points.
