Agrapart's 7 Crus is a blend of seven Cote des Blancs villages; Avize, Cramant, Oger, Oiry, Avenay Val d’Or, Bergeres-les-Vertus, and Mardeuil. This cuvee is the only wine in the range to not be 100% Chardonnay, coming in at 90% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir, all from their estate owned vineyards. A blend of 2013 and 2014 vintages, aged 3 years on lees and disgorged February 2017 with 7g/l dosage.
This is 90 percent chardonnay and 10 percent pinot noir, with 40 percent of the blend made up of reserve wines from 2013. It’s linear and taut in build, and while the pinot noir seems to add breadth and body, the structure is classically chardonnay. There’s an almost peachy concentration on the palate, backed by racy acidity, and there seems to be a hidden core of depth and complexity waiting to unfold with another year or two of post-disgorgement age.
