Adelphi Liddesdale Batch 10 Bunnahabhain 21 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Named after a large hill, just a few miles from the location for Adelphi’s new distillery. Batch no. 10 has been carefully compiled from five American oak casks (ex-sherry) sourced from Bunnahabhain distillery.

Tasting note: Brilliant gold. Ideal clarity. Opening whiffs of beeswax, rice crackers and semi-ripe pear. Five minutes adds sultry aromas of cream tea biscuits, sponge cake and a thread of sooty peat. Gently buzzes with spicy warmth in the mouth; pillow soft peat meshes with stewed pear and delicate peppermint freshness. More sweet oak, clove and pear in the aftertaste. Consistently desirable. Notes from Adelphi... A box of assorted chocolates by the fire: orange, grapefruit and pineapple with a dusting of cocoa; honeycomb and hazelnut to follow finishing with the surprise strawberry ganache and a grind of pepper.
