Brilliant very pale straw almost water like colour with greenish tinged edges. Nosing offers up pear, lime and quince aromas subtlety infused with honeysuckle and herbs followed by spice end notes. Full and rounded in its textural feel, the palate is intensely flavoured with ripe pear, limes and fresh herbs over a dash of quince and light honeysuckle. Finishes spicy and fresh with excellent depth and a long spicy ripe pear, lime, quince, light honeysuckle, fresh herb and flinty slate aftertaste.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
Alc. 12.5%

Other Reviews….
Very complex vinification, with three different approaches to batches picked at varying stages of ripeness, reflects the experience of nine vintages of GRU with four gold medal (two top gold). Gruner isn't particularly aromatic when young, but has a plethora of flavours of all kinds of fruits - mainly tree-grown - and spices. The other limb of the wine is its texture and structure underwriting its longevity. Drink by 2028.
