2017 Charles Melton Rose of Virginia

One of Australia’s best known Rose’s is produced from a blend of 56% Grenache, 22% Pinot Meunier, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon and 4% Shiraz.

Translucent bright cherry red pink colour. The nose is filled with ripe cherry and red raspberry scents followed by some pomegranate, a hint of Turkish delight and spice. Nicely rounded in the mouth the fruity palate is crammed with ripe raspberry, strawberry and pomegranate flavours over infusions of musk. Despite the deceptive sweetness of the fruit it finishes dry with a lick of fresh acidity. Aftertaste of ripe raspberries, strawberries, pomegranate and subtle musk.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
