Inspired by a trip around the wine regions of France David Spence planted his vineyard nearly 20 years ago. This wine is made from 1.2 acres of Pinot MV6 vines, handpicked, 15% whole bunch fermented using indigenous yeasts, and matured for 10 months in 25% new French barriques.

Semi translucent dark red colour with a light red hue. Very fragrant nose with aromas of dark cherries and strawberries tinged with violets overlaying traces of anise, forest floor and spicy cedar. Light and savoury, delicious flavours of dark cherries and strawberries overlaid by forest floor and subtle anise characters build incrementally in power as they move across the palate. Also in evidence are some gamey meat like characters and spicy cedar. Supple mouthfeel with very finely grained, velvety tannins. Good, solid power wave of flavour with a long juicy dark cherry, strawberry, forest floor, faint anise and spicy cedar aftertaste.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
Alc. 13.6%

Estate-grown, wild yeast open-fermented with 15% whole bunches, matured for 12 months in French oak (30% new), gold medal Geelong Wine Show '16. Bright, clear colour; a light-bodied, elegant style, red cherry/berry fruits given complexity by oak and fruit tannins. Drink by 2025.
