2014 Laroche La Chevaliere Syrah

Totally opaque dark purple black colour with a bright purple red hue. The nose offers up aromas of blackpepper and liquorice followed by some meatiness and incense like infusions. Medium weight with a fine elegantly textured mouthfeel the palate has generous flavours of ripe dark cherries and liquorice intermixed with some meatiness over a peppery back drop. Very fine grained, well integrated tannins finishing with an aftertaste of peppery dark cherries, liquorice and dried meats.
Drink over next 2-3 years.
