Totally opaque inky black core showing excellent colour saturation with a deep dark crimson red black hue. Pronounced aromas of ripe blackberries, dark plum and liquorice are followed by some chocolatey vanillin oak and spice. Rich and bold yet not over the top the palate features an opulent texture with generous flavours of ripe blackberries, liquorice, dark plum and dark chocolate over a spicy vanillin oak background. Plush mouthfeel with soft velvety tannins. Long aftertaste of blackberries, dark chocolate, liquorice, spicy vanillin oak and mocha.

Other Reviews….
From vines 7-70yo. The dense crimson-purple colour accurately semaphores a plush, rich and complex full-bodied palate that does not go over the top; dark fruits mesh perfectly with dark chocolate, the tannins plentiful, but soft and round; the balance and length can't be faulted. A long life ahead. Drink by 2038.
