2013 Chateau Doisy Daene 375ml

Brilliant pale straw colour with greenish pale gold edges and a watery hue. Beautiful nose of honeyed apricots, ripe peaches and lemon butter with traces of marmalade also evident over faint raisin and spice end notes. Rich but not heavy the palate has a delightful vein of freshness running through it that keeps it light on its feet. Flavours of honeyed peaches and apricots are prevalent over some light marmalade infusions, lemon butter and a trace of vanilla. Bright cleansing acidity. Long aftertaste of honeyed peaches, apricots, subtle marmalade and lemon butter.
Drink over the next 6-8 years.

Denis Dubourdieu has a created a fine Doisy-Daene, with attractive white peach and honeysuckle on the precise bouquet, which exudes wonderful transparency. The palate is very well-defined with fine acidity, the oak deftly integrated. It gradually builds in the mouth: harmonious and refined with great composure towards the long and satisfying finish. This is one of the finest Barsac wines of the vintage.
