2013 Chanson Macon La Roche Vineuse

Macon is located in the South of Burgundy and is best known for its value priced Chardonnay offerings.

Brilliant pale straw colour with a faint greenish tinge around the outskirts and a watery hue. Fresh citrus and nectarine aromas are to the fore followed by faint toast, stony characters and mineral. Light and lively with an elegant stony mouthfeel the palate features flavours of nectarine and white peach that intermingle with dried honey over a back drop of wet stone and mineral. Dry finish with good fresh acidity. Aftertaste of nectarine, citrus, wet stone and mineral. Best described as a cross between Chablis and White Burgundy.
